Sunny and pleasant

Over on Ink-Dipped Advice today, I talk about how content mills are rebranding themselves to seem more legitimate, while still underpaying writers.

I went to the Climate Strike last Friday. Small, but intense event. Glad I went.

Also spent some time in a cemetery, doing research.

The weekend was difficult on multiple levels. Don’t really want to discuss it publicly yet. But I’m tired of control freaks and people who have such pathetic lives, the only way they can feel good is by hurting others.

Monday was tough. I was still trying to regain equilibrium after the weekend. Then, my back went out completely. I broke down and took the Canadian pain pills, which helped. I hardly ever take them, so when I do, they work.

The positive over the weekend was reading Tanya Huff’s Smoke trilogy. The characters work in the television industry in Vancouver. There were so many small moments and inside jokes that I just loved it. It was so much fun.

I got in some good writing, too, but not enough. Never enough.

Yesterday was challenging at my client’s. Not bad, just stuff I didn’t feel like dealing with. But that’s the gig, right?

Did some work at the library, had to pick up some groceries, was glad to get home.

Tessa hates being an only cat. We have not had any luck in getting her a new companion yet. Let’s hope that changes soon.

Site work with a client and then prep for a meeting tomorrow.

All I want to do is sleep.
