Sunny and pleasant
Yesterday was crazy busy. We’re trying to put the finishing touches on tomorrow night’s Casino Night, which is our big fundraiser. In addition, there were books to process; there was a 3000 piece mailing to be stuffed, folded, counted, and taken to the post office on time; and Cape Cod Organic Moms did a program, featuring the owner of the eco-boutique SHIFT (which was a terrific program, by the way).
On top of that, people are acting like this October event is brain surgery. I have no time for waffling bullshit. Commit and do it, or pull the plug and get out of my way — I have other things that need my attention. And stop wasting my time demanding “phone this” and “phone that.” I don’t do business on the phone – give it to me in writing.
It was not a good writing day, but even a little bit is more progress than nothing. I managed some more revision work on COLLABORATIVE BIRTH.
Also finished up my work on the strategic plan for next week’s session.
Today and tomorrow will be long damn days. I am NEVER allowing another August like this one — and I rarely say “Never.” Next year, ONE organization gets my time and attention in the month, and that will be the one that is central to MY well-being, not everyone else’s.
The upcoming time at Kripalu can’t come fast enough.
