Really good writing day yesterday. Fell in love with CRAVE THE HUNT all over again, which is a good thing, since that deadline is coming up. I can really see the way clear to do some good stuff with it. Worked with students, got some freelance work out of the way, ran errands. Took a stack of books back to one library, got out another stack, was told yet another stack was waiting for me at another library, so headed off there! Considering I’d only put in the request for them on Saturday, that’s pretty darned quick!

I’m reading Donald Hall’s memoir, UNPACKING THE BOXES, which is fascinating. He was Poet Laureate for the US in 2006-2007.

I’m working on some interview questions today for several different pieces, have to focus on the ghostwriting project, rough out an article, get out some clips to people, do a few more thank you notes, do a couple of proposals, get some business correspondence out. And, of course, work on CRAVE THE HUNT and the harpy trilogy.

The leaves are starting to fall, and the air in the morning and at night smells like autumn. If the cats’ coats are anything to go by, we’re in for a hard winter.

Back to the page!

  1. I’d love a hard winter. Last year was entirely too mild. We need snow and moisture!
