Bad weather today, unfortunately. I hope it doesn’t last too long.
Busy day yesterday. After a great morning on the book, I took the recycling and the leaves to the dump, got in a few more groceries, and spent the afternoon cooking. Baked a lemon cake and a fudge marble cake. Made a lasagna for twelve, with the fixings sorted and ready to go. Packed.
Rolling around a story in my head, a short story, about a professional mourner. I’ve wanted to write about that since I first heard about it years ago in New Orleans, and I think I’m ready.
Slow morning start on the book, because I’m distracted by holiday preparations.
