Sunny and cold

Didn’t realize how late it was!

Hop on over to A BIBLIO PARADISE, and give my colleague, and one of the students in my year-long intensive, Kymber Rowean, some comment love on her newest release!

I don’t even know if I remember yesterday, other than it was busy! I know I dropped off some stuff at the National Marine Life Center in Buzzards Bay.

Today is even busier. I wanted to finish a chapter on the book, and it wound up being nearly 4500 words, and took longer than I expected, because I had to stop and figure out a few things. But I’m really close to finishing book one of the trilogy.

I’ve got tentative names for the book and the trilogy, which I have to roll around a bit before I can share them.

The best news is that Violet is fine. We were in and out of the vet in 15 minutes, got the paw taken care of, and I just have to keep an eye on it. She was so good and everyone fell in love with her. She really took to one of the vet techs, which is great, since she’s so often shy around new people.

New slipcovers arrived for the wing back chairs — a deep red, kind of plushy. The silk damask isn’t pet-friendly enough, so I decided to put washable covers on. They’ve worked out well.

I’m not packed for Maine yet — me, who always packs a week ahead of time. I’ve been writing, people! 😉

Gotta hit the grocery store, then bake two cakes and do the lasagna this afternoon, touch up the hair, back — and write some more!
