If you like this blog, please nominate me as one of the “Top Ten Writing Blogs” here:

Only the blogs with multiple nominations will be considered. So, if several of you make it over there, I’ll at least be in the running.

The last part of the interview with me runs on The Creative Heartbeat Collective today. Please check it out.

Wednesday was tough because I was in writing head instead of in show head. And then yesterday was tough because I was in show head rather than writing head.

It all gives me a headache.

The rat bastards shut off the water in the afternoon yesterday without notice, and guess what? As soon as I filed a complaint with the city, an “emergency shutoff notice” magically appeared, to cover their asses. So I lost almost an entire writing day due to these assholes, who are bound and determined to drive us out.

If I could pack up everything and leave right now, I would. Unfortunately, there are circumstances that are out of my control right now that prevent me from so doing, and I HATE THAT.

I had a terrible time getting back into the climactic scene of OLD FASHIONED DETECTIVE WORK. I didn’t really get back to work until night time, but I pushed through and I finished the draft.

Red machete in hand, I’m about to start revisions.

And then attack the rest of the stack on the desk, and everything else that’s fallen to the wayside.

The newsletter went out yesterday. If you didn’t get your copy, let me know and I’ll re-send it. If you’re not signed up, you can sign up here, and put “Subscribe” into the subject line.

I have two shows tomorrow, I have to get this book out to the publisher, and I have to finish the ghost story and get started on Book 3.

Hope everyone has a great Labor Day weekend!
