Hot and sunny

Quick post as I’m rushing for the train.

The first part of the massive interview with me is up on The Creative Heartbeat Collective. Hop on over and take a look. There will be more on Friday, and next Monday and on and on most of the month.

Yesterday, I finally had a GOOD writing day, my first really good one in about a month. What a relief!

I did a lot of work on REAL. It’s in better shape than I remembered, but still needs a lot of work. I managed to get some good work done on several chapters, though. It’s a little scary how much of it I’ve actually lived since I wrote it. I’m going to change a few things, so it won’t cut quite so close to the bone.

Did a little bit of plotting and character work on the thriller. The first ten pages of the piece are strong; I don’t want it to dip.

The understudy with whom I’ve worked closely the past weeks takes over one of the roles tonight – it’s now his for however long he’s still in the show. He’s earned it and I’m delighted for him.

Big Brown won the Haskell yesterday, but he had to work for it. Also, it seemed to me that he was fighting the jockey, that he no longer trusts him after the Belmont. It wouldn’t surprise me if he was retired, and the Haskell was his last race.

Don’t forget to listen to me tonight on The Dragon’s Den – 8 PM Eastern, via internet.
