March 2 — Flooded Out

Massive flooding. We are cut off. It came so fast I couldn’t get the car out. It’s now chest-high on the street behind the building. I may have lost the car — can’t see it from here.

I expect we’ll lose power shortly — bathtub and buckets are full, lots of water boiled.

I called in to the show and said I’d let them know by 1 PM whether or not I could get in for tonight’s show.

Keep a good thought for me.

Toronto got hit in last couple of days. High winds, ice, flooding. Power outages.

But chest-high water? Your car an ark?

God have something against New York?

…Done some auguring over here. I think it’s going to be all right. Today’s cars can take some water.
