Dark Moon
Saturn Retrograde
Mercury Retrograde
Rainy and mild
Well, this week will be a series of long, bureaucratic days because each step of paperwork has to be complete before the next one. That’s fine – I got what I needed to get done here at the local police level; now I wait for a copy of the report and then I can truck that around to all the other people who need it. My credit union, with whom I finally spoke, seemed bored by it all. The Fraud Department never even called me back. I also went to my other bank and changed my numbers, just to make sure.
And, of course, it snowed the whole time I was out and about. Not one weather person warned us.
Mark your calendars for Tuesday, July 22. I’m a guest on Michelle Pillow’s “Pillow Talk Tuesdays.” Don’t worry, I’ll remind you closer to the date!
I got out the work and the invoice to Confidential Job #2 yesterday morning, and now I can switch back over to CJ#1’s next assignment. Confidential Job #1 already paid me for the last invoice, which only went out a few days ago – love them. Ahem, I will NOT be putting that check into the credit union account!
I’m in the city all day today, working onsite somewhere else.
How many plumbers does it take to fix the toilet? Especially when one of the cats is upset that they had to move the litter box?
I knew I should have just bought the part at Home Depot and fixed it myself!
Spent most of the day polishing Tracking Medusa. Caught some glaring errors and wondered why it took me so long to catch them. Basically, I’ll have a whole new draft when I’m done with this. And I’m having total fits about sending it out in the next few days, but if it doesn’t go out, it can’t find the right publisher. So, out it goes. Short stories, plays, articles – all those are easy to push out of the nest. The novels are hard, because the investment is so deep on so many levels.
Oh, and the title of Wyatt is officially changed. I’ve re-titled it Old Fashioned Detective Work, which is literal in one sense, and plays against the story in another, so I think it works better for the piece. Had a good morning’s work, not in terms of word count, but in terms of story.

I can’t wait to read your interview on Michelle Pillow’s site!
I’ve already written it down in my “Writing Calendar”! hehe
I like the new title! (For the former “Wyatt”)
The apathy of some people! I highly recommend closing your account there.
I want Mercury to stop the retrograde thingy! I am OVER it!
I hate how it’s always when you don’t do anything wrong that you have to jump through hoops. If your car gets hit, you spend all the time on the phone with insurence people. If your wallet gets stolen, calls to a multitude of companies. Bank accounts apparenty go the same way. Crooks have the better end of this whole deal, being a bystander is the risky job!
I think the weather has gone nuts. It’s 71 here right now and it’s February?
I really like the new title!
Sorry to hear that you are meeting apathy in trying to get the financial situation straightened out.
I hope today turns out better than expected!
Oh my word, how ridiculous. Maybe they’re bored by it because IT KEEPS HAPPENING! Hope it gets worked out soon…
At any rate, just wanted to pop over and thank you for participating in the Inkthinker Query Challenge again this year. I’m glad to have you on board as we head into the second month!

Toilets and credit unions/banks–two things we rely on to work. Hope all gets back to normal soon.
It’s terrifying to think someone can just get right in there and take your cash. More terrifying is how they’re handling it. I’d be looking for a new place to store my money after this mess.
Thank you so much for coming by the blog! Great interview!!
